Your Vulva FAQs

In order to be included in Jamie’s artworks it’s necessary to be physically in the same place as him. That has meant that most people in the world have been unable to participate. It’s not very democratic. How difficult that has been is demonstrated in his MONDCIVITANO project where we still needs models from so many different countries to complete it.

That is why Jamie came up with the idea of allowing people to upload images onto this site. It means anybody can participate in our vulva diversity projects from anywhere in the world. You don’t even need to be a woman! You just need a camera or a smart phone and an internet connection or email.

People upload vulva casts or photos because they believe in what we’re doing. They want to be part of that and to benefit other women. And some do it just for a dare! We’ve been told that the process of participating can be very healing. Uploading vulva artworks is open to all.

1. Do I need to put my name?
   You can choose to put no name, your first name or your full name under your image and also your location and a comment. We need your name and ID (because we have to verify your are an adult) but you choose if your name is published or not. We cannot however guarantee there will never be a data breach and cannot accept liability if we are hacked. So please consider carefully before posting if you have concerns.
2. Does it have to be my own image?
   Yes this is for images you have created yourself. But it doesn’t have to be of you. As long as the model gives you permission you may upload their image. This allows couples, amateur and professional artists etc to get involved.
3. How does it work?
   Click the link below to start. It takes you to a form where you put in your details and age verification. You then add what information you want to publish with your image, state which gallery it is for and then upload your image.
4. Is it moderated?
   Yes age verification is done by a one of our staff and we also check to make sure the image is appropriate and the right size etc and that any comments are within our community guidelines and appropriate to our business ethics.
5. Can I post more than one image?
   You can contribute as many times as you like to as many galleries as you like. We encourage you to get involved! We may not publish the images though if we consider them repetitive.
6. Who owns the image?
   You retain the copyright of your images. By uploading them you grant us the right to publish them here on the site and elsewhere in any media in perpetuity. That’s just to cover ourselves legally. In reality we will only post your image here or potentially in publicity for the site. Read the Terms & Conditions though if you have any concerns.
7. Is it safe?
   It’s as safe as posting anything else online.
8. Can I change my mind and delete my image?
   You cannot delete your image yourself but if you change your mind later and want us to delete it or change the information you just need to write to us.
9. Can I promote my business?
   You may put a comment and include a link to your business if you are an artist or photographer etc. Comments will be moderated so don’t abuse it! 🙂
